Let’s Try Homemade Hair Care Products
May 16, 2008
Hair is the one thing that people notice right away. It is also one feature that they remember the most. So there is no surprise that we want our hair to look as good as it possibly can all the time. We usually have a bathroom drawer that is bursting with curling irons, combs, brushes and flat irons.
Our bathrooms are where we usually put our sprays, gels, hot oil treatments, shampoos, and conditioners. Do we really use them? or Are they for the shelves decoration? If that is the case, please think again because all this stuff is not cheap. You can save money and still maintain a magnificent hair with homemade hair care products. You don’t even have to buy new ingredients for homemade hair care products which you can find in your kitchen.
Everyone knows that a head full of shiny hair is a sign of peaceful soul and a healthy body. Glossy hair is what we usually seen when people are walking out of a salon. There are a few sprays and conditioners on the market that can help return your hair to that fresh-from-the-salon glow, but they cost money and several of them make your hair feel tacky to the touch.
Using too much leave in sprays can sometimes weigh down your hair. Using too much of shine enhancing sprays can make your hair appear greasy and unwashed rather then the gleaming shine you are trying to accomplish. The good news is that there are homemade hair care products you can make that will help restore the natural shine to your locks.
Using Beer
The homemade hair care product that has been historically used to add shine to a person’s hair is beer. Beer is so effective at making hair shiny that several of the best hair care company’s include it in the shampoos and conditioners that are later sold at salons. To avoid the strong beer odor the hair care companies did some research and found that it wasn’t so much the beer itself that made hair shiny, but rather that the key was the hops (a beer ingredient) that added the glow.
Tea
If you find that the idea of pouring a can of beer over head isn’t your idea of a good time, tea has also been a successful handmade hair remedy that adds shine. By simply setting a tea bag on your scalp isn’t going to do a whole lot. You need to boil the water, and give the teabag time to seep, when the homemade hair care product has had time to cool pour it over your hair.
Espresso For Shiny hair
If you are an espresso drinker but are not a fan of both tea and beer. You still can have shiny hair with homemade hair care using a cup of espresso but it has to be extra strong then pour it over your head, of course without sugar or milk. To achieve the best results pour the espresso on dry hair. 20 minutes later rinse it off.
