NASCAR Sprint Series Aaron’s 499 Race Recap From Talladega Alabama

NASCAR Sprint Series Aaron Kyle Busch crossed the finish line first time on Sunday to win the Aaron’s 499 at the Talladega superspeedway when a caution came out on the final lap of the race and froze the field. Busch crossed the line first to claim his second Sprint cup win of the season season and seventh overall of his career.

Juan Montoya finished second for his career-best finish on an oval track since moving to NASCAR from Formula One. FedEx driver Denny Hamlin finished third, Tony Stewart led the most laps of the race with 61 but was denied a victory at Talladega when he wrecked with 14 laps to go.

A lap 187 wreck involved Jamie McMurray, Jimmie Johnson, Regan Smith, Casey Kahne, and David Stremme. The big one occurred on lap 173 when Bobby Labonte was turned sideways collecting Tony Stewart Kurt Busch and Jamie McMurray, Dale Earnhardt Jr. also received some damage which ruined his opportunity to win the race.
