		<description>The tradition of re-using old cloth items carried on well into the 1960&#039;s in the UK.  I remember as a child, my mother and grandmother cutting up old coats into strips to thread through a mesh, knot and trim to create some wonderful rugs.  There was a name for this craft, but I can&#039;t bring it to mind.
