Terms Associated with the Carp Family
Barbels: The 2 organs situated on the upper jaw section of a carp which bears a resemblance to whiskers. Barbels help the carp find food in murky water.

Shock leader: A length made of extremely strong line which will be durable enough to withstand a long cast force.
